I just upgraded from an Intel P4, 1.6GHz, 512Mb to an Intel P4, 2.8GHz Dual core, 1Gb and I don't see any difference in Expert Lotto processing speed.

expert lotto allocates only 64mb of ram for filters and stats. you have to provide a special command-line switch if you want it to use more free ram. search this forum for "-Xmx"

there's also "-server" switch which makes expert lotto run a bit faster but you'd have to install full java development kit (50mb download) instead of just the runtime.

furthermore expert lotto is mostly single-threaded so having multi core processor doesn't have much effect. on the other hand, other applications will be much more responsive when processing time consuming tasks in expert lotto. (you can also run two instances of expert lotto at the same time)
