Complex Filter - Filter SORT

Does the sort function on filters do anything in a useful way?

Every now and again I accidentally click on the Filters column in a complex filter and my filters all get put out of the order I like them to be and sometimes I'm sure I never get back to that order I want.

Does anyone actually use it?

I rarely sort groups in a complex filter, and it resets after closing the program anyways. You could maybe use it for reorganizing the hierarchy though.
